Aly Walansky

Writer and editor Aly Walansky is quickly developing a name for herself as a major source in the ever-evolving blogosphere. She is a sex and style columnist for SheKnows.com (http://sheknows.com/blogs/alytude/) as well as a contributor to publications ranging from High Times and FHM to The Knot and Details, and many more. Her writing career began writing a popular advice column and serialized soap opera for her college newspaper, The Excelsior, and grew into a career that involves coverage of topics ranging from the latest innovative beauty procedures to achieving the perfect cocktail. Gratefully, much of these trials and tribulations can be studied from her local coffeehouse couch. She co-authored last-year's Chicken Soup for the Dieter's Soul and the upcoming Hungry/Thirsty New York, and regularly submits dining reviews to both Metromix and YELP. A passionate follower of the independent music scene, she also writes a regular entertainment column for HOOTERS Magazine.

Based in New York City, her current hobbies involve finding an apartment that won't deprive her of her shopping habit and caring for her pet Shih Tsu and Yorkshire Terrier.
